Dr. Roy Schoenberg was recently appointed as the incoming leader of Amazon Health Services, and will assume the role July 1. As a physician, entrepreneur, and pioneer in digital healthcare. He co-founded Amwell in 2006 and spent nearly two decades building the company into one of the world’s leading telehealth platforms, helping expand access to care through partnerships with major health systems, health plans, employers, and government organizations. And more recently he founded Aileen AI - and AI healthcare companion. Throughout his career, Roy has focused on using technology to make healthcare more accessible, connected, and patient-centered. He brings a unique combination of clinical expertise, technological vision, and operational leadership, with deep experience scaling healthcare businesses and advancing innovation across the healthcare.At Amazon Health Services, Roy will advance the next phase of the company’s mission to make healthcare easier, more affordable, and more accessible through innovations spanning primary care, pharmacy, virtual care, and AI-enabled health experiences.
